Hardware development services, one stage at a time
Every electronic product goes through the same chain, from requirements to production. We can run the whole chain or join at the stage you have reached. Each stage below is a separate, fixed-price phase with defined inputs and deliverables.
Find your starting point
Pick your stage. Hatched: done by you. Copper: what we take on.
Budget for a medium-complexity board with a microcontroller, hardware at cost included. You can stop after any phase and continue with your own engineer; every phase ends with complete documentation.
Feasibility & architecture
Requirements, architecture, parts shortlist, BOM cost and risk.
Proof of concept
Bench pre-prototype from eval kits and modules, measured.
Schematic design
Complete, reviewed schematic and BOM.
PCB layout
Multilayer PCB layout and production files.
Fabrication & assembly
Order, source and assemble prototype boards.
Bring-up & debugging
First power-on, debugging and rework.
Board firmware
The code that runs on the board's microcontroller.
Test & validation
Electrical, thermal and functional test report.
Design for manufacturing
Production revision, cost-down, test procedure.
Pre-compliance & CE preparation
EMC pre-compliance and CE technical file.
Small-batch production
Managed build of 50 to 1,000 tested units.
Not sure what you need?
The estimator suggests phases and a budget from your answers.
Project takeover & design rescue
We pick up hardware projects started by another engineer, agency, freelancer or AI tool and take them to completion without starting over.
Power electronics
DC-DC and AC-DC converters, motor drives and chargers for small battery products, designed and measured by engineers with doctoral-level power conversion experience.
Cost per stage
For a medium-complexity board (50 to 150 components, microcontroller and peripherals, 4 layers) at €75/h. Excludes VAT and hardware. Later stages cost more because they involve more testing, more hardware and more risk. Power and RF designs take longer; small boards less.
